This rare silver medal by Georg Hausch commemorates British Victories in the year 1704 (MI ii 268/68). The victories were the land victories at Schellenberg and Blenheim, the naval capture of Gibraltar and the fight off Malaga. On the reverse the medal shows Britannia seated under a plam-tree which carries three shields showing the victories. In the background is the naval attack on Gibraltar. A Nereid approaches Britannia and presents a naval crown. The inscription on the edge in Latin reads "In every nation which shall hear thy name, the God of Israel shall be magnified on occasion of thee". The diameter is 41mm and the condition GEF (very rare in this condition). The medal has a beautiful even tone. Payment by bank transfer, or Sterling, Dollar or Euro cheque only.
