This impressive silver medal by William Wyon commemorates the opening of the Royal Exchange, London, in 1844 (BHM 2185). The original Royal Exchange was errected by Thomas Gresham in the reigh of Elizabeth I. The medal carries an image of Thomas Gresham and the statue of Queen Victoria which was errected outside the Exchange. The diameter is 74mm and the condition EF with a beautiful tone. Payment by Sterling, Euro or Dollar cheque only. This medal has been sold.
